Rene Dekker (Instructor - Jujitsu)
Rene started Jujitsu in the Nedtherlands when he was 16 and practiced it for 2 ½ years. Due to moving to an other city he had to stop but started Shaolin Kempo Karate soon afterwards and practiced that for 2 ½ years too, achieving 4th Kyu.
Being caught up with studies and work caused another break of several years before he picked up Jujitsu again and practiced that for 3 years.
He moved from the Netherlands to Australia and soon after joined the Martial Arts Education Centre in 2006 and started practicing Jujitsu again. He achieved his Shodan (first degree black belt) in 2014. As instructing is part of the syllabus, Rene has assisted with instructing since 2012 and achieved a Level 1 Coaching Accreditation in 2013.
Rene is now well on his way to achieving his Nidan (2nd degree black belt) and is a committed member of the MAEC and a valued instructor.
